Meet John Plumley, DMD
Dr. John Plumley’s education & experience took him all across the country. Born & raised in Tampa Bay, he is a 2008 graduate of the University of Florida. He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Tufts University in Boston, MA. Upon receiving his DMD, Dr. Plumley served as a U.S. Navy dentist at the Naval Health Clinic Hawaii at Pearl Harbor. While stationed on Oahu supporting the U.S. Pacific Fleet, Lieutenant Plumley received advanced dental training under multiple specialists. During this time, Lieutenant Plumley earned the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal while also moonlighting at some of the most forward-thinking & innovative dental practices in Honolulu.
With a decade of experience, he has completed extensive continuing education courses in anesthesia & pain control, cosmetic dentistry, esthetics & implants. As a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Plumley has achieved the prestigious status of Fellow, while also maintaining membership in the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association & West Coast District Dental Association.
From completing his training on the east coast in New England to practicing out west in the central Pacific, Dr. Plumley has learned to combine different philosophies & techniques to deliver the best treatment outcomes for his patients. He couldn’t be more thrilled to be back in Florida to continue this standard for the Bradenton community. His vision of offering a dental experience that is not only personalized but also convenient with extended evening & weekend hours has become a reality.
Dr. Plumley has made it a priority to support his local communities. Whether it is providing free dental care at the annual Kokua Smiles events during his time in Hawaii or at Dentistry From the Heart here in Florida, Dr. Plumley continues to give back. As a volunteer at Bradenton’s Turning Points, part of the Community Coalition on Homelessness, he is able to use his experience in the U.S. Navy to stay connected to military veterans & provide dental services for those in need of access to dental care.
Meet Natalie Platt, DMD
Dr. Natalie Platt was born and raised in Miami, FL. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a dentist. She applied and got accepted into Nova Southeastern University’s Dual Admission Program prior to graduating high school. This allowed her to earn her bachelor’s degree a year early and reserved a seat for her at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2012.
Over the last 10+ years, Dr. Platt has continuously focused on delivering excellent and compassionate patient care while devoting time and effort into learning the latest advancements in cosmetic dentistry and smile restoration. She values listening to her patients and their concerns as well as building a partnership with her patients to address their needs and achieve their goals. For this reason, Dr. Platt’s patients cherish their relationship with their dentist and remark that they “finally look forward to dental appointments” after experiencing dental anxiety with previous providers. Dr. Platt believes everyone should be able to feel confident about both their oral health and their smiles.
Dr. Platt’s professional memberships include the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the West Coast District Dental Association.
Outside of the office, Dr. Platt spends her time with her husband and daughter enjoying and exploring all the beauty that our beaches and parks have to offer. She enjoys eating along the water, reading, showing her daughter the world (of Disney), and traveling. Married to a Marine Corps veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom, Dr. Platt has volunteered extensively to assist our veteran community through partnering with the Marine Corps League, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion (among others).
Dr. Platt is fully fluent in both Spanish and English and is excited to bring her years of experience to the South Bradenton Dental Care & Your Weekend Dentists™ team and our family of patients.
Meet Sean Pierel, DMD
Dr. Sean Pierel is originally from Rhode Island and brings a wide range of experiences to every chairside encounter he shares with his patients. He earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Rhode Island and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of New England in Portland, ME. With a background emphasizing dental care for public health and advanced medical needs, Dr. Pierel is excited to provide high-quality personalized dental care to the Bradenton community.
Dr. Pierel is an active member in the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Phi Beta Kappa ΦΒΚ Honor Society. He is eager to expand this network with continued education in the latest technologies such as digital dentistry, advancements in implantology, and cosmetic restorative solutions. Prioritizing these advanced clinical practices with tailored treatment to every person’s individual needs is one of Dr. Pierel’s favorite aspects of dentistry and he hopes to join you on your oral health journey.
Dr. Pierel continues to give back to the community through volunteer work with various Pride organizations and with dental public health initiatives such as the Mission of Mercy and Give Kids A Smile. He has made it his mission of delivering dentistry in a way that promotes holistic health to patients with diverse backgrounds and medical needs. His vision is to enrich quality of life and restore confident smiles with a ‘patient first’ philosophy to comprehensive care, all while maintaining core values in compassion, integrity, innovation, diversity, and community.
Meet Vanesa Stillman, DMD
Dr. Vanesa Stillman, a local to Bradenton, FL, enjoys being able to raise five children in her hometown. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University, Atlanta, GA. During that time, she was able to spend a semester in Salamanca, Spain, satisfying her love of travelling. She continued to Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine, Ft. Lauderdale, FL where she graduated in the class of 2002. While at Nova Southeastern, she expanded her education and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program, Miami, FL and a mini residency at University of Florida for Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Stillman practiced pediatric dentistry for four years, however, she enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She continually challenges herself to stay updated on the latest advancements in order to make treatment more effective and enjoyable for her patients. Being community minded, she has worked in a community clinic, RAM, and local dental events and in dental missions to Peru, where she has family. Being bilingual in Spanish has been helpful in meeting the needs of the community.
She enjoys staying active with family and friends and anything the beach life has to offer. Among her many pets and rescues, her English bulldog Georgia and ragdoll cat, Max, have a special place in her heart. She hopes she can make caring for your teeth a pleasurable experience and one that lasts your lifetime.
Meet Mario Grigoropoulos, DDS
A dedicated dentist with a heart as warm as his smile! Dr. Grigoropoulos was born and raised in Toronto Canada where he attended the University of Toronto and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physiology then subsequently was accepted to and completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery program.
After graduating, Dr Grigoropoulos advanced his surgical skills and knowledge by completing a General Practice Residency program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. He further enhanced his dental experience and skills by practicing in various Florida communities and becoming a member of local study clubs. He has continuously attended dental education courses, including courses at South Florida’s’ own Pankey Institute, The Frank Spear Continuum and the Esthetic Epitome at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning. Recently he completed the Implant Continuum, an advanced post graduate surgical implant training course offered by the renowned Implant Seminars.
Dr. Grigoropoulos has a passion for oral surgery and dental aesthetics and uses them in synergy to impact his patient’s lives through restoring and renewing their smile and bringing back their confidence and self-esteem.
He loves being able to help each valued patient overcome their dental fears and anxieties through his comfortable and compassionate approach to dental care, creating healthy, beautiful looking smiles that can last a lifetime.
In his spare time, he enjoys international travel with family and friends, local dining spots, beautiful west coast sunsets, philosophical studies and is an avid fan of the outdoors where he explores parks, beaches and other Florida landmarks.
Meet Amr Aly, DMD
Amr Aly, DMD, an accomplished dental professional, with a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience in many areas. Dr. Aly graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the LECOM School of Dental Medicine, in Bradenton, FL. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Dr. Aly has honed his skills across a broad range of dental services. He specializes in comprehensive dental care including exams, fillings, root canals, and complex procedures such as implant retained overdentures, surgical extractions, bone grafts, and more.
Before joining Coast Dental, Dr. Aly gained invaluable experience across diverse fields. He last served as a General Dentist Mentee Cedar Pearl Dental in Crestview, FL where he provided excellent patient care and performed vital operational duties. His time as an EMT Supervisor with Metro Ambulance in Wayne, NJ, during the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, equipped him with exceptional emergency management skills, which compliment his dental expertise with a deep understanding of patient care in critical conditions. These past experiences emphasize his all-rounded capability to run a successful dental practice. Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Aly enjoys the pleasures of travel and working on cars, reflecting his passion for discovery and mechanics, traits that he beautifully intertwines with his dental career to create lasting impacts on his patients’ lives.
